Overview

This qualification is practice-based for those with experience in a leadership or management role within the Health and Social Care sector who meet additional regulatory requirements which apply to some work settings.


What is covered on the course?

The Level 5 Professional Practice in Health and Social: Practice qualification is a 120-credit qualification which will be assessed through a series of assessment activities which will be externally assessed.

Entry requirements

Learners undertaking this qualification must be 18 years or over.

Pre assessment report – Skill Scan for suitability to be completed ahead of being registered onto the qualification with Aspiration Training.

Learners must have completed the following qualification or an agreed comparable qualification prior to registration of this qualification: 8040-09 Level 4 Preparing for Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care; Step Up to Management Award (University of South Wales) or be working towards the Level 4 Preparing for Leadership and management in Health and Social Care as part of this qualification.

Qualifications

On successful completion of the qualification, the individual will be awarded the following:

  • Level 4 Preparing for Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or proxy of equivalent qualification)
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management of Health & Social Care
  • Essential Skills in Maths and English Level 2 (if applicable)
