Level 4 Apprenticeship

Overview

This qualification is for individuals that are currently employed in a Senior Managers i.e Operational Manager and can achieve through on the job training and assessment. It is expected that learners have a degree of autonomy in their role. Credit value 37 for the Diploma and 370 guided learning hours. Credit value for the NVQ Diploma 53 and 530 guided learning hours.


What is covered on the course?

The Level 4 Qualification required completion of the West Diagnostics for Application of Number, Application of Communication and Application of Digital Literacy, followed by the Essential Skills for all of these at Level 3 if a suitable qualification is not already held.

Mandatory units are as follows for the Level 4 Diploma in Management.

Mandatory units are as follows for the Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management:

  • Understanding the Management role to improve Management Performance
  • Managing Personal Development
  • Managing and Implementing Change in the Workplace
  • Understanding and Developing Relationships in the Workplace
  • Optional units to be chosen by the individual and the Vocational Coach

Mandatory units are as follows for the NVQ Diploma in Management:

  • Manage Personal and Professional Development
  • Provide Leadership and Management
  • Develop and Implement an Operational Plan
  • Develop working relationships with Stakeholders

Entry requirements

The apprentice must be employed, working more than 16 hours per week and have completed at least 3 months of their probation period. They must have an understanding of and use of IT equipment.

Completion of West Diagnostics in Application of Number, Application of Communication and Application of Digital Literacy. Then completion of these for Essential Skills if a suitable qualification is not already held.

Qualifications

On successful completion of the qualification, the individual will be awarded the following:

  • ILM Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management
  • NVQ Diploma in Management
  • Essential Skills in Maths English and Digital Literacy Level 3 (if applicable)
